Access page
1. What type of information is available on the Access page in the Larry Support web application?
The Access page provides Larry Support users with a detailed insight into different aspects of access for credentials, with a clear overview of whether access is granted or not according to a set of parameters, and the reason why.
The Support team can easily check access for a credential by:
- selecting the credential type: tag, digital key, PIN, custom PIN, or license plate.
- entering a credential number. For tags and license plates, this valuemust be a number. As for digital keys, PIN and custom PIN, only a UIDvalue is accepted.
- entering the lock MAC, for RFnet locks, or Device ID, for BLEnet locks.
- if applicable, adding a time schedule to check if the credential has access during a specific timeframe.
By filling out this information, the Support team member will be able to check out whether the combination of these parameters is allowed access or not. The results will also show an option to ‘View access details.’ By clicking on this option, a modal window will pop up, with an overview of the different aspects of access that could explain why an access is granted or not, simplifying and optimizing access-related troubleshooting for Support teams.
- Note that the information returned on this page reflects the current state of access for a credential at the time of the search, and not of when the event occurred. This means that if the Support team searches for the access information of a credential from a specific event in which a user was denied access (that is, was not able to open a lock), but this same user was then granted access in the system by an admin in the meantime, theSupport team will see that credential as ‘Granted’ access on the Access page.
2. What type of credentials can be checked by the Salto Support team on the Access page?
The Salto Support team can use the Access page to check for access-related events generated by tags, digital keys, PIN, custom PIN, and license plates. For tags and license plates, a number must be provided when checking for access.
For digital keys, PIN and custom PIN, only a UID value is accepted.
3. Where can Support users find the UID of a digital key, PIN or custom PIN?
Larry Support users can find the UID of a digital key, PIN or custom PIN by
going to:
- the IQs tab, selecting a specific IQ, and clicking on the Events chip, where they will see an overview of all events and the credentials the generated them. For digital keys, PINs and custom PINs, the corresponding UID will be mentioned; or
- the Sites tab, selecting a specific site, and clicking on the Events chip, where they will see an overview of all events and the credentials the generated them. For digital keys, PINs and custom PINs, the corresponding UID will be mentioned; or
- the Locks tab, selecting a specific lock, and clicking on the Events chip, where they will see an overview of all events and the credentials the generated them. For digital keys, PINs and custom PINs, the corresponding UID will be mentioned.
From there, Larry users can click the three-dotted icon next to the credential and select ‘Verify access’, which will then take them directly to the Access page, with the credential type, credential UID, lock MAC/ID and time schedule fields all pre-filled in. This three-dotted icon quick action is also available for tags and license plates. Alternatively, Larry users can also choose to click the ‘Copy’ icon next to the credential UID and then paste it into the Access page.
