Locks Page
1. What is the Locks page?
The Locks page provides a complete overview of all locks across all sites in one central place. It allows support users to quickly scan lock health, status, and connectivity at scale.
2. What information can I see on the Locks page?
On the Locks page, you can view key lock details such as:
Online/offline status
Lock ID
IQ connected to
IQ link state
Communication type
Battery level
Site
3. Can I still search for locks via the IQs page?
No. Searching for locks through the IQs page is no longer supported. The Locks page now serves as the main entry point for lock‑level visibility.
4. Can I perform actions on locks?
Yes. On the Locks page, you can use the three‑dot actions menu next to any lock to access lock settings and perform firmware‑related actions. You can also click the lock to open its dedicated Lock Details page.
On the Lock Details page, the Actions button at the top provides a menu of tasks which depending on your user permissions, which could include the following:
Lock now
Check access
Refresh lock firmware
Schedule update
Force detach
Lock settings
Add note
5. How do I access more detailed information about a specific lock?
Simply click on a lock in the overview to navigate to the Lock Details page for deeper insights.
Locks Details Page
1. What is the Lock Details page?
The Lock Details page is a dedicated view that appears when you select a lock from the Locks overview page. It consolidates all critical information and actions for that individual lock.
2. What information is shown in the Lock Details card?
The lock card includes important information such as:
Status
Battery
Lock type
Communication type
Other essential lock attributes
3. What are the tabs on the Lock Details page?
You’ll find the following tabs on the Locks Details page:
Entries: Shows activity related to the lock.
Components: Displays associated lock hardware.
Updates: Lists firmware updates relevant to that lock.
4. How do I schedule updates for a lock?
To schedule an update, open the Lock Details page, click the Actions button, and select Schedule Update. From there, you can configure the update timing and apply it to that specific lock.
You can also schedule an update directly from the Locks page by selecting the three‑dot actions menu next to the lock and choosing Schedule Update.
